InDesign Tips

If you’re wondering why your images sometimes look as if you’re looking at them through a burlap sack, it’s because InDesign defaults to a Typical View.

Typical of 1986 page layout apps that is. Well you don’t have to live with this. Simply right click on your image with the Selection Tool (Control-Click using a single button mouse on the Mac). This will bring up the Contextual Menu and from there you can choose Display Performance -> High Quality Display. This works on any kind of image in an InDesign document, but works extremely well on Native Illustrator, EPS and PDFs placed in your document.
